Marmosets is a duo-cello project from Mary Barnecutt and Lioba Petrie, both acclaimed cellists, producers and singers based in Dublin and Wicklow.

The musicians draw on their experience as multi-genre players to fuse folk traditions, song, contemporary composition and dronescapes to create an unworldly music which is at the same time grounded in very earthly traditions. Using electronics, shruti boxes, vocals and cellos the resultant sounds are magical soundscapes of ancient and contemporary music firmly rooted in place.
